Rob Kirby

Physical Therapist

Rob is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who graduated from Emory University. Growing up Rob was very active and enjoyed playing soccer and basketball while at Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia. While studying in college, he channeled his athleticism into a different sport, Jiu Jitsu. Unfortunately he developed debilitating hip pain that sidelined him from his new passion.

After battling chronic pain for 5 years, Rob was scheduled to have hip surgery. However, Rob was determined to avoid surgery by working diligently through his own physical therapy program. Ultimately, he was able to cancel surgery and return to the jiu jitsu mats at Alliance HQ in Dunwoody stronger than ever before.

Rob’s pursuit to continue his sport developed his passion for understanding how to rehab his own injuries as well as those of other injured athletes. As a physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist, Rob has advanced training in movement screening, lower body biomechanics in sport, and dry needling.
